I have had people mention this radio show to me for a long time. And I finally started downloading it a few weeks ago. I also noticed that they they have just launched a TV show as well. It plays on “The Movie Network” here in Canada. I would try to describe the show, but their “about us” page does a better job than I ever could:
“The radio and TV shows follow the same format. There’s a theme to each episode, and a variety of stories on that theme. It’s mostly true stories of everyday people, though not always. There’s lots more to the show, but, like we said, it’s sort of hard to describe.”
I listen to alot of different podcasts and over the weekend I listened to the “Security Now” podcast and I thought it was fascinating. The guy who does the podcast is Leo Laporte (of Tech TV) and he speaks with Steve Gibson every week about various security issues.
This one was about IRC botnets (or Internet Weaponry as he calls it). I have vaguely heard about these things before but I never realized how powerful they are. Anyways this podcast is now a weekly “must listen” for me.
Well it took me awhile to get saw all the parts and it cost me more that I thought it would but my PVC bike rack is completed. I took the plan for the rack from this site. I also modified it a bit and used 2″ tubing as the store didn’t have 1″.
I would have loved to have a picture of me walking up Sheppard Ave with all this tubing and walking Sparky. I’m sure it was a fine sight to behold.
