I’ve been remiss in sending posts to my blog lately. I will change that starting today. I have been in Toronto now for 2 1/2 months. I spent alot of time here over the last couple years, but I was always working from my apartment, avoided using the subway during rush hours, etc. So I basically lived in a bit of a relaxing cocoon.
Now that I am working downtown and taking the subway during rush hour, I have been surprised at how slow people walk. I assumed I would be getting trampled, but no…. I am the person pushing by folks trying to get to the door faster, etc. Why do people here walk slow? Isn’t the big city supposed to be where everyone is rush rush?
If I had 20 bucks for everytime I heard the comment about moving from Halifax to Toronto and it would take awhile to get used to the speed of things here…. well I could buy an iPod. Maybe only a 30 GB… but it would still be nice. Instead I fine that everything moves slow…. especially the pedestrians
